karma

the force created by a person's actions that some people believe causes good or bad things to happen to that person-Karma
The Hindu and Buddhist believe this to be reality. That what happens here will effect what happens in the afterlife. We laugh here in America and say that's karma when something bad happens to us, what goes around comes around thinking.
There are some days that I even think this is Gods way of shutting us up when we think we know something.  For instances, Josh use to laugh and pick at me when I had a kidney stone and say I was a wimp, till he got one, that changed his tune. I use to say that someone with back problems could not be that bad till I got them, Josh said the same thing till he fell out in his front yard for no reason.
We have laughed at Derick and Andrea over the years because Kylie is allergic to dairy and everywhere we went to eat they had to ask all kinds of questions and we would say REALLY???
till now and going out to eat with Audrey and me has become crazy. I have to say make sure that my food is not cooked in the same place as shellfish, Audrey has to ask what ingredients are used in everything she eats, and how it is cooked now. Since coming off shellfish, Audrey off dairy, wheat, malt, and everything else, now when we get near it we have immediate reactions.  Yesterday Audrey fixed Harper a grilled cheese, and when I looked at her later she looked like she had kissed a fish and it stuck to her up and lower lips, the  only thing we could figure is she kissed Harper, or touched her face after touching the butter. I was telling Andrea and she laughed and said "Karma" it stinks.

Warming my feet and reading a novel at Grandmothers house

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. King James Verson

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. NIV Verson

Last night at church this is a verse that was used in our study and our leader was talking about how her father-in-law received this verse from many people years ago when he was driving a tractor and his grandson (her small son) fell and was killed while riding with him.  This verse made him angry and the more times he got it from people the angrier he became, until  many years later when he read it from the NIV, he is a devout King James reader.
The little word "in" from the NIV version puts a new perspective on the verse. Because when we think sometimes that "all things" are good from God and bad things happen it doesn't make sense to us. But when we read that "in" (expressing a period of time during which an event takes place or a situation remains the case) all things God works for the good, it changes the how we look at situations. God can work in all things, but not all things are for good.  How we choose to except failure, fear, sadness, and heartbreak decides how God works for the good. If we choose to be bitter, angry, and  hurt then God can't not work to the calling of our purpose. Everything we go through, good or bad, has a purpose, do we as Christians choose to go the route of forgiveness, kindness, self-control, love, peace and patience.
