Walk With You- Edwin McCain Lyrics

Audrey and Joey danced to this, I had never heard it until a month ago... unfortunately it was hard to hear when they danced.  But it is a sweet song....

Life is a blur.....Are there times you can't remember what you were doing two hours ago.....Since March I have been on non-stop mode, so life has passed and I am out of the loop. I know things around me are going on but I have had so much stuff to do and so many things happening that I have not been able to really think about others and their lives.  Let me recap, Audrey bought a house, we have helped remodel it for March and April, I had a 30th wedding anniversary, Mom passed away, A great friends grand baby passed away, Sister-in-laws mother passed away, friend from high school passed away, family member passed away,  then friend from church passed away at just 39 years of age this week.  Audrey got engaged, got married, I turned 50, Harper turned 2 and all my children and children-in-laws had birthdays in the last 4 months.  On top of that it has rained and the grass has grown like crazy, so mow, mow, mow.  And then there is work, everybody has to do it. Praise the Lord we have been healthy in our home...This is why I haven't thought of anyone but my life for the last several months.  I understand why people get so caught up in their own lives that they forget other people have problems, hurts, and needs too.  That is why when things are good and you have free time, don't waste it sitting around, look around somebody might  need you.

2 YEARS OLD

It's hard to believe that this little bundle of energy is two years old.
It is amazing what you will do for your grandchildren.
Pap-paw and her are having coffee in her house.

She had a birthday party last Saturday, Joey and I were there in body but not much in mind.

Her little friends and cousins from church came.

Harper has learned so much in her little 2 years of life.  She can say her whole name, count to 18( that is how many steps from their basement to upstairs), she knows shapes and colors, is learning to put on her own shoes, knows how to work my phone better than me, and loves to sing.
She is comprehending direction (like my house is here her house is that way), she tells me all the time to drive with two hands, she understands prayer and reminds me sometimes to pray, she understands what family members go together, she know when driving down the road where to turn to go to bank to see Ms. Sharon, to go to church, she knows where the water towers are in Welcome. I can only imagine what she will learn this next year.....

Reflection

I sat down tonight to settle my thoughts and reflect on the upcoming day.  We have been busy, busy, busy today, so I haven't had a lot of time to just think. Tonight will be the last night our daughter spends the night as a single child of ours. Tomorrow starts a new journey in her life and in ours.  Joey and I will be living alone for the first time in 28 years. Audrey will be making a new home of her own after 26 years of living with us. I do think we all will have some adjusting to do.
I remember praying for her and the husband that God would send to her one day. I knew she needed a man who could loosen her up a bit, she gets a little stressed, one who has a lot of common sense, she is really smart but sometimes misses the easy things, I knew she needed a man who could read people well, she tries to trust everyone, she's  learned from him.  Wesley needed a girl who could expect things from him, he has a lot to offer but was a little slow in trying to achieve, he needed someone to push a little, (his grandparents love Audrey because of this) he has come along way since our first meeting. He needed a girl who is a little stressed because he is so laid back, they compliment each other. He needed  a girl who could even calm his OCD, hers is bad but not a bad as his.  It will be a funny home life with all their compulsive ways. Together they are hard headed, neat, easy to get along with, pretty simple people and  both are family minded. I can't wait for what has taken 5 1/2 years to get here.  Happy Wedding Day 7/5/2013...pictures to follow
